Burke County United Way

Who We Are

Burke County United Way's mission is to build a stronger Burke County community by empowering self-sufficiency, increasing housing stability, and fostering opportunities and success for youth.

We envision a community where all Burke County individuals and families are equipped to live independently and thrive.

For 70 years, Burke County United Way has had the privilege of serving this community we love. Since 1956, we've worked alongside neighbors, partners, and volunteers to support and sustain stronger families in Burke County.

What We Do

Burke County United Way brings together donors, volunteers, businesses, nonprofits, and community partners to help individuals and families build stronger futures.

By strategically investing local support into programs, partnerships, and resources, we create lasting impact where it matters most.

We strengthen financial well-being by empowering individuals and families to build a solid financial foundation through personalized one-on-one financial coaching. We help Burke County youth thrive through collaborative community programs such as Childcare Assistance, Tools for School, and Toys for Tots. We also foster a more resilient Burke County by connecting people, organizations, and resources to respond to community needs, strengthen local nonprofits, improve access to essential services, and mobilize support during times of crisis.

Together, these efforts help create a community where every individual and family has the opportunity to live independently, thrive, and build a brighter future.
